These terms are a simple agreement between you and Oota about using the app. We’ve kept them short and clear.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Oota, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. Using Oota
Oota doesn’t require you to create an account. When you first open the app, it sets up a private, anonymous identifier that lets Oota securely store and sync your meal plans, grocery lists, and preferences.
Oota is currently free, with no purchases or subscriptions. We may add optional paid features in the future; if we do, we’ll show the price and terms before you buy anything. Oota is intended for your own personal, non-commercial use.
3. User Responsibilities
Please use Oota lawfully and reasonably. Don’t try to break, overload, or misuse the app or its security, and don’t use it to store unlawful content. You’re responsible for the meals, groceries, and other content you add.
4. Health Disclaimer
Oota is designed to help you make everyday meal decisions. It isn’t a medical, nutrition, or health service, and its suggestions aren’t medical or dietary advice.
Always use your own judgment when choosing foods that fit your dietary needs, allergies, or medical conditions, and consult a qualified professional for specific health or dietary questions.
5. Intellectual Property
Oota — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to Oota. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.
You keep ownership of the content you add, and you allow us to use it to run and improve Oota as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Availability
We provide Oota on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and the app depends on your device, your network, and third-party platforms (Apple and Google). We can’t promise the app will always be available or error-free.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oota is provided without warranties of any kind, and we aren’t liable for any indirect or incidental damages, or for any health, dietary, or other outcomes arising from your use of the app or your reliance on its suggestions.
Some places don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here removes rights you have under the law that can’t be waived.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. By continuing to use Oota, you accept the updated Terms.
